Family
Therapy
- The Research and Evaluation Team continues
to evaluate the effects of therapy on clients abilities to feel
empowered in their lives. Clients identify issues for which they are
seeking therapy and then rate the severity of those problems. We contact
those individuals within two months to assess their changes in attitudes
over time.
- We are now examining the types of issues
for which clients seek therapy. Specifically, we are interested in
the issues surrounding poverty, violence and diversity, which greatly
impact many clients lives.
- For more information about this evaluation
protocol, please contact Dr. Minnett at
aminnett@salesmanshipclub.org.

School
- Every students academic and social
development is assessed throughout his or her tenure at JEJCS. We
use multiple measures and methods (e.g., video, questionnaires, checklists,
direct observation, and standardized assessment) from a number of
perspectives in acquiring information about several indicators of
growth in each domain.
- School-family communication, parent
involvement and changes in family status are documented throughout
the student’s tenure at JEJCS in order to facilitate school-family
relationships.
- Research and Evaluation collaborates
with school personnel to develop professional development opportunities
for their teachers or strategies for implementing new initiatives
based upon research findings.
