Family Therapy Philosophy
Our central concern is an abiding respect for the client and the family.
Our therapists collaborate respectfully with clients to help them find
solutions to problems, to develop more useful ways of interacting and
to enhance the unique strengths of each family.

child and family.

including:

- Stress management
- Divorce and stepfamily issues
- Sexual, physical, and emotional abuse
- Case consultation with schools and agencies
- Counseling offered in English and Spanish.

- Case work services provided for families who are in counseling, or
who are participating in the school or camp programs.
- Individual, couples, family and group therapy available.

groups offered.
Case Work Services
When our clients need additional assistance, our case workers help them
overcome obstacles that might otherwise hinder their progress in therapy,
at camp or at school. Locating resources to help pay utility bills, assisting
with immigration services, helping families apply for benefits, serving
as a translator and advocate in school meetings and juvenile court, and
identifying GED classes and job training programs for parents are examples
of the wide array of services provided by our case workers to clients
of Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Center's family therapy and school
programs.
Results
Internal research and evaluation is an important component of our mission
as each program strives to deliver innovative, effective and efficient
services. Each year, our research and evaluation
team analyzes the effectiveness of each program.

3-6 therapy sessions:
- 70% with school behavior problems reported improvement.
- 75% reported improved family relationships.
- 99% of children remained in home.
- 99% report being treated with respect.
- 95% said services are helpful.
- 97% said services are easy to use.
